From
the architectural point of view this site, which is located
only 12 km from the museum and designated as Hili 8, is the
most ancient settlement known in the U.A.E so far. The site
is occupied by a roundish building surrounded by a moat. Inhabitants
were involved in copper trade as well as in agriculture. Their
settled life witnessed the cultivation of wheat, barley, and
sorghum in addition to palm tree.
